Kähler potentials for the MSSM inflation and the spectral index

چکیده
Recently it has been argued that some of the fine-tuning problems of the MSSM inflation associated with the existence of a saddle point along a flat direction may be solved naturally in a class of supergravity models. Here we extend the analysis and show that the constraints on the Kähler potentials in these models are considerably relaxed when the location of the saddle point is treated as a free variable. We also examine the effect of supergravity corrections on inflationary predictions and find that they can slightly alter the value of the spectral index. As an example, for flat direction field values |φ̄0| = 1×10MP we find n ∼ 0.92 ... 0.94 while the prediction of the MSSM inflation without any corrections is n ∼ 0.92.

Kähler Potentials for Hilltop F-term Hybrid Inflation
We consider the basic supersymmetric (SUSY) models of F-term hybrid inflation (FHI). We show that a simple class of Kähler potentials ensures a resolution to the η problem and allows for inflation of hilltop type. As a consequence, observationally acceptable values for the spectral index, ns, can be achieved constraining the coefficient c4K of the quartic supergravity correction to the inflatio...
متن کاملSupersymmetric Hybrid Inflation with Non-Minimal Kähler potential
Minimal supersymmetric hybrid inflation based on a minimal Kähler potential predicts a spectral index ns ∼ 0.98. On the other hand, WMAP three year data prefers a central value ns ≈ 0.95. We propose a class of supersymmetric hybrid inflation models based on the same minimal superpotential but with a non-minimal Kähler potential. Including radiative corrections using the one-loop effective poten...
متن کاملInflation from multiple flat directions
We illustrate an example where multiple flat directions give rise to inflation with a help of non-minimal kinetic terms. We show that multiple fields can assist inflation irrespective of the field potentials which are expected to be lifted in the early Universe. We argue that inflation may proceed in this set-up even if individual potentials are too steep to sustain inflation on their own. We c...
متن کاملGraceful exit from a stringy landscape via MSSM inflation
The cosmological evolution of the string landscape is expected to consist of multiple stages of old inflation with large cosmological constant ending by tunneling. Old inflation has a well known graceful exit problem as the observable universe becomes empty, devoid of any entropy. Simultaneously, in the quest for reheating the right degrees of freedom, it is important that the final stage of in...
متن کاملInflation Determinants in Low and High Frequencies: An Implication of Spectral Analysis to Iran
There is no evidence that previous studies, available to Iran’s inflation literature, have used spectral methodology to analyze a possible relationship between inflation and its main determinants within a specific period. Accordingly, the present study investigates the effects of money growth, real output growth, output gap and interest rate changes on inflation at low and high frequencies...
